Freelance Writing

Prior to the third anniversary of 9/11, I submitted an Op-Ed piece to the editor of the Burlington Free Press, Vermont's largest daily newspaper. Although the editor liked the article, Our nation has lost the world's good will, she decided to publish it only in the electronic edition.

This submission led to an invitation to become a member of this newpaper's Writers Group. Members are asked to write Op-Ed pieces on Vermont's people, issues, and events.

The Op-Ed pieces that I wrote from 2005-2007 are listed below. It should be noted that while the articles were never edited, the paper's copy editor much preferred his own titles.
